Space is becoming a premium in all areas of London, and the same goes for this house in North London. The 3-storey Victorian house has a beautiful character to it, with traditional features throughout, however it lacked a certain wow-factor when it came to the living and dining areas on the ground floor.
Linx Design and Build were on hand to not only provide this family with additional space, but to create a modern and airy feel to the downstairs kitchen and dining area and generate a contrasting environment in comparison to the more traditional features of the house. With bi-fold doors and a glazed pitched roof, the internal and external spaces blend beautifully into one and connect the owners to the outside world, whether it be to hold a summer party outdoors, or to host dinner in the newly installed kitchen, which provides warmth and cosiness during the winter months.
The job included a full ¾ width rear extension, stripping out the old kitchen and the installation of the new. The extension work included all groundwork, external and internal work and was carried out by Linx Design and Build’s own in-house team, who always strive to create wonderful spaces for our clients and we feel this project is a great example of that. The extension has ended up making a huge difference to the way in which our client uses their downstairs space, meaning they now spend a lot more time in the kitchen!
